Mungle Pondering Return To Shootout Competition
Written by Matt Trulio

After taking a break from aquatic top-speed shootout competition, fan-favorite Kenny Mungle of team Gone Again fame said he might compete at this year’s Lake of the Ozarks Shootout in Central Missouri in August. But if it happens, the affable Texan won’t be running the 32-foot Skater catamaran in which he made his name.

Instead, he’ll be running his Skater 388 cat, which he purchased from the STIHL team after the untimely death of team owner/driver Robert “J.R.” Noble in March 2016.

“I’m putting my big Sterling engines (1,550-hp) in the 388,” he said. “I might try to make it to the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout this year.”
