Though Skater Powerboats in Douglas, Mich., is on a state-mandated three-week hiatus that began today in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the company is in the middle of several significant builds. That’s the word from Tony Cutsuries, the company’s national sales manager.
Dubbed Maverick, a Skater 388 catamaran with eight seats will be rigged with 1,100-hp Sterling Performance engines.
Despite the shutdown and uncertainty, Cutsuries said the Skater crew is staying upbeat. “We were all good,” he said. “And as soon as we can we’ll get right back to work.”
